Every day, at least from Monday to Thursday, I do homework with my kids. I noticed that right about the time I have enough of homework, they're bored too. It makes me wonder why school gave kids homework. Isn't 7 hours in school enough time to learn what they need to learn?
I noticed that my kids homework would last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Sometimes more, especially for my child who's in Talented and Gifted Program. Homework has been around since school was invented I guess, but it seems more prevalent nowwadays. What good does homework does?

About Sharing

I was walking to the kitchen when I heard my 3-year old said, "I want to play with your toy."
My 5-year old said, "Get your own."
3-year old siad, "Mommy said SHARE!"
In which my 5-year old said, "I am sharing. You're sitting on my part of the chair."
Rainy Days and Sundays

My friend and I were planning to take our children swimming today. However, it's 330PM and it's drizzling. I got a call from her worried about the rain. There's still an hour more before I decide if I want cancel swimming. My three little ones pictured above loves the sprinkler area next to the swimming pool. That is where I spent 5 hours last Friday, 3 hours last Wednesday, and the previous days before that...are you getting the picture? They love it! I cannot catch up on reading while we're there because if I take my eyes off my kids, I am convinced transport themselves outside the fence.
Even when I stayed 5 hours in the sprinkler park, my 3 y/o still threw a fit when we left. There's a lesson to be learned here. It goes along the line of showing up before they close so the water's off when we leave and there can be no doubt that the park is truly closed.
The rain had stopped, we might go after all. I have gotten used to stuffing my 5'2" (barely) in a swimsuit. I am 142 point something pounds. I need 40 of those off. Someday. When my baby's done breastfeeding, I can work on it. Maybe run away from it. He's now 16 months. This is the longest I have ever breastfeed anyone. He's the last child, so I am enjoying his babyhood. There's won't be anymore.
Kids R Us
I think all mothers agree that kids are the happiest rolling around in dirt. Well, some kids anyway. My kids and their friends are, certainly.
I have seven children yesterday. Yesterday was sand pile day. One child sneaked in some water, and they were happily building castles. Another child found a water gun, and off they went making tracks in my kitchen filling and refilling their one and only water gun.
They were partially wet and covered with sand after an hour. I decided to let them have water hose too. Actually, that's after 1 hour of whining. They were gleeful and hopping about playing with very wet sand and plenty of water. I have sands all over my house. Even in my oven.
How the sand got into my oven, I will never know. After 4 hours in the muddy sand, rolling and playing, they were done. Their two friends went home, dirty and sandy-wet, but very happy. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take a picture.
Today is another playdate, and it's lego day. All seven children are now in various stage of building one thing or the other in my living room. Everyone's happy. Mostly me. No sand to sweep and vacuum today.

What is IT Called Again?
One writer called it a very disappointing age for a child. They go from being a ruler of all things, where a single noise is scrutinized and analyzed and delivered to the best of interpretation to a disappointing boundaries and discipline issues at every turn. I am talking about terrible twos.
I never really paid it much attention. Even though my daughter, my first-born can scream with the best of them, repeatedly jumped out of her crib at age 6-7 months so she was promoted to a real bed at such an age, even though she can climb the highest shelves or counter, I don't remember her as obnoxious as my third darling son, DS3.
She's 15 months old when DS1 was born. I remember she immediately stopped talking and only communicated with me in the same manner as a newborn, and she started crawling even though she'd been walking since 8 months.
I don't recall her pushing and roughing up her little brother around. Maybe it is true what they said. Same-sex, close-gapped children tend to be best of friends and worst of enemies. My two little sisters, who are darling angels apart, go into fight mood within minutes of being in the same room. They can get into fight in a snap and make up just as fast.
My brother and I hardly ever fight. We get along well, compared to our two little sisters. The ironies of it are their names. They're Happy and Love. I was Girlie. I have issues with being Girlie with my little sisters are "Happy" and "Love." Was it to much to ask to have a nickname which matches? Why wasn't I called patience, joy, or ecstasy?
Ok, back to my DS3. He's tall and slightly built, but he's so loud. He can yodel with the best of them. I am thinking of signing him up for cadet or ROTC because he's got the voice box for it. Last night he had a fit because I brought him home after a visit from Lola's house before he was ready. When he's unhappy, I think my SIL can hear him all the way from Oklahoma. It is really hard to tell because my ears are ringing so loud with his unhappiness.
He also seems to think that DS4, the baby, is punching Bob. He'd be walking along and the baby practicing his walk when DS3 will just reach over and tip him. Isn't there a sport somewhere about cow-tipping? If I didn't know any better, I'd think he's practicing for the Olympics on tipping.
There's a lot of flying train accidents too when my back is turned. DS4 is sporting lots of bruises about that. I hesitate to overtly punish him because that would be paying attention to his misbehavior. My husband and I try to give him lots of compliments when he's being nice to the baby.
I also noticed that as smart at repeating as he is, he pretty much ignore anybody who tries to make him repeat about "being gentle to baby." He'll reply with "I want milk, please." Not even chocolate currency works on that one.
It's not as bad as Itchy and Scratchy, but I would really like to try something new on this one before it becomes a real issue.
I don't know how many readers I have out there who have children, or knows children, or even if you don't have children, have something to say about terrible twos, please, feel free to share anything. Anything is better than nothing at this rate.

Checking Up on Speech
[Warning: this has the appearance of a mother's rambling rambles]
Today, I had doctor appointments for DS4's 9 month old check-up and DS1's 8 year old check up. They're both healthy and growing well, both their weight at 55 percentile. As part of the check-up routine, they do blood counts. DS1 was gritting his teeth as they took his blood. DS4 wasn't even aware. He was bubbling and cooing at Nurse Ester. When the nurse was done covering his fingertip with band-aid, he promptly ate his finger until the cover fell off. I thought he had stolen some sweet bubble gum, he's chewing in ecstasy!
I put him on the exam room floor as he was flipping and rolling and tumbling non-stop! When I
looked back from reading my magazine, it's to the sight of my DS4 flinging droplets of blood on the floor and all over his brother's socks. DS4 was in his diapers and socks. He's still blissfully unaware that he's supposed to scream at the sight of blood.DS4 is 21 pounds, 31 inches right now. I can't believe how fast time is. He said "Mama" "Lala" "Baba" "Vava" today. I am so thrilled because he's on his way to talking.
My older children are late talkers. At ages 10-20 months, they'll say things like "How are you?" "Stop it" "Want that choco" "What's your name?" However, from age 16 months for 4.5 years, it's like The Dark Ages. Mostly, I am the only one who can understand them. I don't worry about it now, both are on honor roll and one is on Talented and Gifted Program. Yeah, they're smart and I am proud.
That also taught me to worry about The Dark Ages for the younger ones. What if the others will do the same? So, I am taking steps to prevent it from happening. Not because I am worried they'll be stupid, but because I just want them to have a good command of their language without the $$$ for speech therapy which my kids' previous private school insisted on.
I don't know what it is about me and my household which makes my kids try their language and then stop using them for a few years before taking them up again. Seriously. It's worrisome because other parents make every opportunity to point this out to me. I would have been fine with it (figuring they'll speak when they're ready). Still, I am glad for tutoring and speech teachers who's insuring my kids will keep their words and use them as necessary.
Crispy Walk
I was bundled. I did have to shed off my parka for this walk. An extra 50 pounds is quite handy this time of year. In fact, I was just thinking that it would be great if I get fat in winter, and thin in the summer. I can save on heating bills, then on cooling bills respectively. Isn't that a brilliant idea? I think that was one of the times I was grateful to be fat.
It was 33F yesterday, and still it was a perfect day for walking. The sun was bright, and with bundles of clothing, it was like walking inside a refrigerator. The DS4 refused to be bundled, when I got him out of his stroller, his little hands were freezing a bit. DS3 was sleeping for a good 3 miles under tons of cover, so he was nice and toasty. The baby threw off his blankets, so he was cold, but happy.
It's never boring when we walk. DS4 loves to stop and smell the roses, or examine anything for ages. DS2 loves to speed skate. Between the two of them, We are either picking someone up and running after another. Like I said, fun exercise. I don't think it has occurred to DS2 that if he really cranks it up, we'd be in the dust. I can't wait til I can take up running again. I could do a good 6 miles per hour with the way my kids are skating. I'm reminding myself that I am holding off because I'm still on milk-delivery duties. I love it, but doesn't mean I can't want the running too.
Below are DS4 and my DH. You can see he's kinda cold, but he keeps tossing off his covers.
We did 6 miles in two hours yesterday. And I get to spend time with my favorite people. :) I really like doing this. It takes commitment, and it takes time, but I think it's time well worth it.
There She Goes
My daughter got a play date on the last day of the year. She's so happy she could burst! Sometimes, I forgot how much she needed a friend her own age, and a girl at that. I have grown up with two sisters, so I forget that angst and longing of one who hasn't got a single one. I did gave her 4 little brothers, but it is just not the same. So here's hoping she get many more play date. Lots of restriction though. If you have 5 little children, you'll understand those. Unless you're of the braver constitution, in which case, you won't. There were lips colors, and nail polish, and picture taken by a camera-mad Mom, that's me. There were Build-a-Bear stuffed toys and long conversations, and some snacks made of spaghetti, butter and meatballs. Not my choice, they fixed themselves some. I just watch them. Parting is not as dramatic as the previous play dates, but they burn hours on the phone each week. My daughter has a life of her own!
Lots of events for our last day of the year.
DS3 had the worst constipation in ages! I used BabyLux by Fleet and still it took him hours to get it out. It reminds me of being in labor. How the pain ebbs and flows. It just breaks my heart. He's so exhausted, he falls asleep in between bouts of pain. We were ready to do some enema, when he gave birth to a golf ball-sized thing. No, it's not golf ball, but it does tell me that I need to sneak some prunes in his diet. Maybe a chocolate brownies with prunes instead of butter, or both! I'm making it in the next two days. He loves chocolate recently.
Here we are below after our walk. We managed to ambush an unsuspecting shopper to take a picture of us. DS3's asleep, but all of us are in it. I've been hankering for a decent family shot. Not giving up yet. Just because the kids' portrait is not at all going well, is not reason to give up on either. I am going to be stubborn about this one. In the meantime, you can see on those links about that it's really going to be an interesting journey.

Just so you know, we hardly let DS3 walk because of his inability to stay to the course. He likes to follow the bee pathway. If you have no idea what that is, just sit outside on some beautiful spring day and watch the bee fleeting among the flowers. You'll see what I mean. Still not picturing it? Here's another image for you...figure 8! We do let him walk sometime, in fact, this day he walked approximately two miles. He's a fantastic walker for his age. He's also obsessed with chocolates. I wonder if it's the chocolates he's been hunting and finding all over my house these last few days which exacerbates his constipation.
I'm getting ready to take my family out and walk in the mall. It's 33F outside, a degree short of freezing...so I better start bundling them up one and all. My heater seems to take a significant amount of time before heating up, and I promptly forgot to tell the mechanics when I had it in the shop on Saturday. Perfect!
Still, a little creature kept mumbling about "chocolate, Mommy!" I'll give you two guesses who!
Love Thursday #8
This is me being really brave about taking all my kids out by myself. It wasn't so bad. It went very well.
DS1- Art in Colored Pens
Two days ago, DS1 decided to take down all the drawings on my wall done in crayons. He wanted to replace them with arts done in colored pens. Here's the first one.
I love it when my kids spend their time drawing. The sight never fails to cheer me up.DS1 is into Dave Pilkey's Captain Underpants. He'd started illustrating a comic books in similar story line and some are really good. These he does on top of his chores, choir practice, piano, home works and all other stuff. When I find his latest work, I'm going to take picture of it and post it for posterity.
Right now, he's also working on his Sonatina on C which he's going to play in a contest next fall. His teacher believes he can go home with the highest prize. DD is going to play the second movement of the piece too. I have to start seriously practicing myself. Not for any contest, but just for leisure, and for playing duet with my babies. That and to know that they are practicing what they're supposed to.
DH also told me that he loves hearing me play the piano. I am trying to play Mozart's Turkish March. It's a playful piece, deceptively easy with it's C major key signature, then it changes to D major, and the counting is quite fast. I love it's lively tune. My fingers are lamentably out of practice, you can practically hear it creak as it goes over the ivory keys to warm them up, hoping to get them nimble enough to produce a sound resembling that of Mozart's composition.
A Post About Nothing
I upgraded my 7.2MP Sony Cybershot to a 10.1 Sony cybershot. I love this 10.1MP camera. It has much less button to screw up with. I was concerned with the touch-screen option, but it's actually very good. We've already establish that I am not the most advanced which it comes to tech, but Sony had made this particular cybershot idiot proof. The manual is a staggering...ok. It's pretty punny. Less than 50 pages!Looking out my window, I noticed that Fall is in full swing. I thought to myself, look how pretty those dead leaves are. Why not make your children sit there and take a picture?
That's exactly what I did. I even let my very allergic son joined in. The kids were game. They'd pose, smile beautifully and roll around the ground...except not together.
We had a blast though. My dream kids pictures with my super camera never materialized. It looks like to have a great kids pictures, I am going to have to learn Photoshop. That way I can put together their good poses into a picture for a poster I wanted. I took over 50 pictures, and I don't think a single one turned out like I wanted. However, now, I have pictures of my kids, and that's always good.
I noticed that with our baby, the last one, DS4, we're not in a hurry to see him do stuff. It's like we wanted him to be a baby just a little bit longer because there won't be another one after him. At least, not until the gran kids come along. That could take years and years.
He's also just learning to eat solid foods. He's particularly attracted to black beans and rice. He dives for my plate if he sees those colors. I think it's the color. I tried giving him Gerber Squash. My mother bought like 30 jars of it. DS4 watches me open the jar. He eagerly opens his mouth, and in the squash went. His face crumples, he gives a shudder, and closes him eyes. He makes a swallowing action, then opens his mouth again.
I was so proud and tickled pink. My baby is eating vegetables! So I eagerly give him another
spoonful, my face full of smiles when he purses his lips and makes a raspberry sound, squash flying straight to my face. My glasses gets it, so does my face, and my hair. If I am not fast enough, he grabs for the jar and shakes it really hard, so squash is on my chest, my pants, my floor and my walls. I have a giggling baby by this time. Half-blinded by squash, I staggered with my slippery bundle of joy for the bathroom so we can give him a bath.My DS3 is 2.5 years old. He's been steadily giving himself haircut for days now. At the rate he's going, his long lovely locks will be all gone in a month! See that picture on the right? It's a multi-burst setting for my new handy-dandy camera. I have no idea
it would collate the pictures taken at multi burst. It auto-sized to 1MP, and gives me that picture. On the other hand, I get music on my playback. I can see the screen even in noontime. I can write stuff on the picture too if I want to. Or stamp it with stuff. There's so much more in this camera I've yet to learn. I love this little camera. It packs a lot of stuff for something I can hold in my hand. It takes awesome video too, except I've yet to figure out how to edit it so I can upload it to youtube and embed it on my post.
I am not giving up on that kids's group picture. Maybe I'll have them turn their back to me and take a picture and make a post of that. Then people visiting me can make a game of it. They can guess who made it farthest away from me in a short amount of time!
And then there was soda
I wish, I wish I had my camera handy a little while ago.
DS2, my 5 years old was in the kitchen. I wasn't really paying attention to what he's doing. I think I was too busy sighing my self-satisfied sigh because I just cleaned my kitchen floor.
If you've been reading this blog a while, you will notice that I have a thing for my floors. Some husbands might worry that their wife is going to cheat on them, spend too much money, or go shopping too much...not me. I am already heavily involved with my floor. This is one of the reasons why.
So, here I was, all sweaty and feeling accomplished when I hear an unmistakable sound of a pouring soda. I know soda shouldn't be given to kids. I know this. But my husband loves soda, so blame him! :) Honey, if you're reading this, I'll pay you back, 'k?
DS2 is a very independent, self-possessed and smart child. I don't think he had asked me to pour him anything since he'd learn the trick of pouring anything he likes into a glass at the age of two. So, tonight is no difference.
Accidents happened, and I hear the swoosh of a spurting soda. When I looked back at him, aglow with self-congratulations, it's to see the soda making a perfect arch as it spurt out of the bottle and down into my newly cleaned, orange-smelling, shinny, feels-good-to-the-feet-kitchen-floors.
I finished my drink, took a deep breath and commence looking for something to dry my floors with. My son, smart boy that he is, noticed that he'd just messed up my newly cleaned floors. He said:
Now, let me tell you about my thing with whites and stains. I'm off to read my books.

Mommy, don't worry. I will clean it all up. Don't worry Mommy. He disappeared towards the direction of my linen closet, where I kept my towels. A few minutes later, he came back with an armful of white face towels...
Now, let me tell you about my thing with whites and stains. I'm off to read my books.
To Braving Wet and Cold
If you're looking for a little family bonding time in this busy, buzzy electronic world, you have to be brave enough to turn off everything to get it. Turn the computer, cell phone, television, ipods, digital cameras...ad infinitum off. That's exactly what I did today. It's amazing what different creative activity kids can come up with without electronic distraction.Of course, my house was in chaos, but it's all in the name of fun.
That's my DS3 on the above, with his new hair-cut, self-administered. Pay close attention to the hairline. :) Hover over the pictures to see the caption.
I am sure it's been discovered before. In my household, I have such intelligent and precocious kids, they somehow get around me. I have rules for how long they have to be on the computer, and only when they've read and practiced their piano lessons. If you're too young for a piano lessons, then only if you've read as long as you want to be on the computer.
DS1 flashes his dimples at me, and before I know it, he's vegging in front of the screen. He does earn it, but his little brothers take advantage of the computer being "open" and jump aboard.

DS2 at five years old can remember key-strokes for password up to 8 digits. I kid you not. He sees you logging in your password, and he's interested in doing the same, he'll remember it. I find it amazing as he doesn't read it. So off he goes and play when my attention is engage somewhere. Like when I was so caught up reading my sexy book for example. That's good for at least an hour before I would take a breather.
My daughter is not much into computer. She likes it, but she's just as happy with books as with computer. If she wanted to play she usually asks me for permission. Once she's on, her internal chronometer goes awry.
Today, or should I say, 5 hours ago, I had enough. D and I
went out and went skating with all the kids. Actually, the kids skated, while we walked. It wasn't so cold, but it was drizzling hard enough to get the trails wet.DS2 was having a hard time controlling his skates, we finally put him in the stroller. He can't walk, no shoes. It was funny when they were slipping around the little wooden bridge. Think spreadeagled legs, arms akimbo. Even the older kids went splat on the ground. They got their balance not long after that and we're skating like pros after.
My baby was getting cold in his stroller, so I put him in a sling and zipped him inside my jacket. He loved it so much, he fell asleep right away and stayed asleep until we're done. It was like being pregnant again, except I am more worried about waking him up. His allergic hives have gone away, his skin's clear today.
DS2 was walking, keeping abreast of his big brother on skates. Between keeping an eye on the kids and issuing an occasional grunt for the kids, D and I have wonderful time talking.
We must have walked and meandered over 4 miles following a river trail. We'll probably get runny noses from the being drizzled, but it was worth it!
SPECIAL NOTE:
I want to wish my Lil Bro and Momsquared a happy anniversary. Actually, they're married four years two days ago. D and I played matchmaker. Now, they have three wonderful kids, and one on the way, probably mid next year.
Happy Anniversary!
MY PHOTO HUNT VOL. 9 - RED
Off to see the Wizard
Baby is still having fever. He has been having fever since Wednesday night, and today, we read 102. That's him minutes before he started having fever. We're off to see his pediatrician in an hour. Poor, poor baby.
Last night, we spent another holding, swinging, dancing, reclining, and cooing, and nothing was good enough. He finally settled down around 3, woke up with no fever, and then spiked one an hour ago.
He's quite crabby, and my house is falling apart. Not really falling apart, I just think that because I couldn't go straighten things up. I really hope he's going to stop having fever soon. Tylenol and Motrin are not working at all.
Salad After Midnight
My baby woke up crying. We danced around the house, changed diapers, tried feeding, humming, singing, reclining at 90 degrees, reclining at 30 degrees, rocking chair, straight-backed chair...an hour later, he's back asleep.
No fever, which is good. Still coughing, and you can hear the phlegm, but it's all behind his throat, so that's good. It just doesn't sound great every time he cough. Nothing more helpless to a parent than watching a little baby cough away. Runny nose is drying up, also good. I really need to pick up a children's stethoscope. It's much more convenient than having to palpate and guess at the congestion.
I think he's getting better. I gave him some Tylenol infant for the fever. He's taken maybe 3
doses in two days. I should have gone for Motrin. Tylenol [acetaminophen], if abused, is hard on the liver. Unfortunately, we don't run into extra liver all that much. But then, there's this thing with Motrin and kidney. Taken exactly told in dosage information shouldn't be a problem for either. I think.
I knew it! I should have paid more attention when we're lectured on drugs and organs. Now, I only want to read my romance books. There's nothing like fiction books to unwind. I was going to catch up on reading, and in a way, I did. I checked out my blogroll and catch up on posts. I noticed that my wordpress friends new post are not showing up on blogroll. I wonder why. Anybody have any idea? I'll have to find out later.
Thursday, I was going to meet with my best friends from school, but weather and fever got in the way. It would have been fun, I'm sure. I hope we get to do it soon...perhaps very soon. We got sleet last Thursday. My kids wanted to go out and play, but we didn't let them. I already had one sick baby, and didn't need any more. DH and I rationalized that there wasn't enough ice/snow to make anything fun anyway. Sorry little darlings!
I thought I heard my husband earlier saying something about Typhoon and Philippines. *You can hum "Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel here* and if you don't know the lyrics, I'll help you.
It didn't really register. Lack of sleep. I just found out on the news very disturbing information. It's Typhoon Durian.

It's late, or early, depending on how you look at it. I absolutely love this time of day. Everything is so quiet. All my kids sleeping peacefully. It's wonderful. There's a lot to be thankful for.
Talking about being thankful...I must mention my mother. She's the best there is! Earlier, she came by with a new "do." She looked fantastic in it. Will add picture later [picture added now- My darling son and daughter is in the picture too]. Mama, if you're reading this, Thank you! There's not enough "thank you" in the world for you, Mama. Darling Husband and I love that you took a cranky child and made him laugh while we caught up on CSI: Miami.
I think.I knew it!
And in the naked light I sawI was this "people" earlier. I might have made grunting noises too, not really sure. I think my darling understood.
Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.
It didn't really register. Lack of sleep. I just found out on the news very disturbing information. It's Typhoon Durian.
Typhoon Durian is the 9th powerful storm to hit the island nation [Philippines] this year and the 3rd “super-typhoon”.Let's give a prayer for survivors of this disaster. In moments like these, I find it hard to say the right words. I don't think there is such a thing. I felt a little bad at how relieved I was to find that my friends might be far enough away from the storm. I think this is normal human reaction.

You want what?
We're trying to start another pleasant routine. I'm all for routines. It gives me something to look forward to when I am busy.
Saturday night, we're watching Ghost Whisperer with my mother. Check out my TV listings on my sidebar for the series I'm following.
I took advantage of the early sunset and sent all my kids to bed before 6 PM. I was overly optimistic of course considering they were up very late when my brother was visiting us for Thanksgiving.
They made an effort to go to bed. DS3 was the first one to sleep. The older three kids, I had to bribe with my computer time early tomorrow for them to sleep so early. It's the consequence when kids learns to negotiate and can read clocks! So, ok. TV and computer times for anyone up at 5 AM today.
That was my first mistake of course. Now it's almost three and I am still up! How am I supposed to moderate that 5 AM TV and computer time, huh? I am sitting here shaking my head at the "deals" I put through because I am desperate for early nights for the kiddies.
So, we were enjoying Jennifer Love-Hewitt running around my screen in her big boobies, and happily speculating whether she was pregnant or just having a bad clothing episode. BTW, is she pregnant? I can't tell for sure, but suddenly, I am noticing that she has a tiny waist, but rather markedly flared-up hips. OK, back to the title of this post.
DS3 woke up crying and miserable. DS2 was jumping on his little brother's bed, and in his exuberance, woke DS3 up. We change My mother changed his diapers because he whispered that he has "poopy di-pe" Afterwards, he's in my bed, cuddling, and hopefully, going back to sleep. Not really.
He followed me to the kitchen. I was having a worst craving for chocolate. In fact, DH offered to go out and get me some. My mother said not a good idea. Sometimes, I really missed being pregnant. You see, when one is pregnant, one can eat anything, and one can be fat, and people will just expect that you'll lose the extra weight when the baby's born. I missed that. No moist chocolate cake for me.
DS3 went all out of his tantrum.
Again he said, "I WANT B'LOM" Here, I am getting frustrated too. I gave up guessing, and went back to Ghost.
Finally, DS3 got smart and brought his Abba to the living room, saying exactly the same thing he told me. They came back to my room, all smiles. My smart, intelligent, darling of a husband has decoded it. The light was on blue already, so it couldn't be that.
There's also a "balloon" right next to the blue light on our ceiling.
[added Sunday PM]
I have passion. I have passion. Lots and lots of it! My eyes ain't violet though.

He keeps saying, "I want b'loom!"We have this colored lights we put in our living room. It changes color, and DS3 really loves it. He likes it flashing, he likes it on, and sometimes, he's very insistent on having it off. So I pointed out to him that the light is blue already.
I said, "What sweetie?"
This is followed by lots of screaming, and crying and gesticulating. I bet he's rolling his eyes in exasperation too, but I can't be sure. His hair was all over his face.
"I WANT B'LOM", at least, that what it sounded like coming from his 28-month mouth.

Two is Not at all that Terrible
My 3rd son loves to hear the sound of his voice. He's of slight build, with long hair, sweet-looking, fabulous smile, eager helper...and loud.
I mean, really loud. When he's in a snit, he can go on for hours. The words which come to mind are "Energizer Bunny". Can you picture that ad of a bunny with a drum? DS3 can surely keep going and going.
It's hard to imagine how my other kids were. I have a very short memory of their screaming and kavetching at two. Maybe they were loud; I just don't remember them being as loud as this little Emperor, also known as my Darling Son#3. He'll outgrow all this drama, just like the other 3, but still, I wonder if the other three were as loud as him.
These are my babies below. DS2 in aqua, DS3 in jumpers, and DS4 in the stroller.
I don't always understand the logic of a two year old. Take a look at one of our conversation below:
I don't mind so much. More often that his yodeling are hugs. Those sweet sloppy kisses and unlimited hugs he gives me are one of the bestest there is. There's also these

I don't always understand the logic of a two year old. Take a look at one of our conversation below:"I want milk." So, I give him milk.Sometimes, it's hard to figure out just exactly what DS3 wanted. This is what usually happens when I can't figure it out. I feel so bad :(
Then he'll say, "No! I want milk!"
"This is milk darling" I answer.
"No! I WANT MILK", shrill this time.
"Ok. Did you mean orange juice?"
"NO. I WANT MILK!"
"This is milk. Would you like some cereal with this?" I asked.
He screeches and kicks the floor
"Would you like some pizza instead?" I asked.
"Yes, chitcha and milk"
I don't mind so much. More often that his yodeling are hugs. Those sweet sloppy kisses and unlimited hugs he gives me are one of the bestest there is. There's also these"I you too, Mommy"I'm loving being a mother of a two year old. We have our moments, but it's all around fun.
"Kiss"
"I need a hug"
"I hug you Mommy"
