Photo Hunt #22 - Drink

This is my baby's drink. It's not for every mother/baby, but it is the way things are for some of us.

It's sad how we're making a backward step for mankind. In Denmark, some places are banning breastfeeding. How would you feel if you're not allowed in restaurants because you swallow? I am just wondering if they're going to ban people from drinking in a sip-top bottle, too. I mean some of these bottle makers are making these spouts so much like nipples! Hey, what about taking out the bathrooms altogether?

Those are natural, yet truly "disgusting" things that could happen in an eating establishment. These sound so familiar-- you know, in the sixties involving segregation and color. Right!

Breastfeeding is natural. In fact, what is the objection? Is it the showing of breast? You can see more of these near swimming pools. Is it the babies sucking for their food? I don't understand what is so objectionable about it. I know it offends some people to see mothers' breastfeeding their babies. Then WTF are they doing staring long enough to get uncomfortable? Stop breathing why don't you if breastfeeding offends you so much!

Someone else (just one, tho) posted a breastfeeding photo. I think it's wonderful. I know I really loved bonding with my babe while breastfeeding - it was something no one else could provide and a special bond a mother & child share.

I think breastfeeding is a natural and beautiful thing. It's sad why people would go to lengths to ban it in some places.

I think the world is crazy and upside down sometimes, especially when they ask women to leave an airplane for feeding her child! Good grief!

As all the other have stated. Breastfeeding is a natural thing. 100 years ago they had nothing to substitute it...
Wonderful contribution to this week's theme.
Have a wonderful weekend.

I breastfed my 2 daughters but sadly only until 3mos coz I always run out! It is truly sad why they would ban it & why others doesn't approve to mommies who breastfeed in public! That's the natural way to nourish a baby & ppl should think of that...it's a beautiful symbol of bond within a mother & a child...really good choice for the theme! Happy Hunting!

Beautiful photo! What could be more natural than breast feeding? How could someone ban that? I breast fed for 3 months, but never produced enough milk and had to supplement and eventually my babies weaned themselves. I cried both times.

Your braver than I am -- my hubby wanted me to post a similar photo but
I chose something else instead.

I remember being very self-conscience
when nursing my oldest in public but
I eventually got over it.

Sweet little baby.
I tried, but she would have starved, so the bottle had to do.
I think it can be done discreetly and should be as it is a special bonding time between mother and child and I would want to keep this time just between us.

What a precious picture. There is nothing more beautiful that a child being nurtured and fed naturally. Thank you so much for sharing! My drink is up also. Happy Hunting!

How on earth does one ban breastfeeding? Since when is it against the law to feed your child? The world is becoming crazier everyday!

I think this is the most beautiful photo of the week. Thank you. It brought back hundreds, no, thousands of wonderful moments with my children. (I was surprised to hear about Denmark: I thought they were progressive).

I love your photo, so loving and natural. Thanks for posting it! I also breastfed all three of my children and I think everyone is better off (me and the kids) for doing so. I can't believe Denmark of all places would ban breastfeeding?

Beautiful photo! I can't believe anyone would outlaw breastfeeding in public! This is the healthiest way to feed children.

I think this is a beautiful photograph. How can anyone OUTLAW breastfeeding? That's absurd. I didn't breastfeed my first one but I'm all for the right of a woman to do so.

Such a touching photo. This is truly what nurturing is all about - establishing the bond between mother and child. This bond can be formed in other ways, of course - but whether one was able to nurse their child or not - they still recognize the beauty of this process.

Wishing you happy days ahead

I also think that breastfeeding is natural and not disgusting to look at. What stupid law it is to ban breastfeeding in public.

i agree with you, breastfeeding is natural is still the best way to feed our babies, not to mention the many benefits of it. i dont think it should be banned.

Breast feeding my four was a 4-in-a-lifetime experience...but each one was different. Some good, some not so good.
But all worth every minute! Here from CHBM Photo Friday.

So sad that feeding a baby is banned .. I would never be a customer of a place like that, with or without my children!

Gorgeous picture!

Propel water bottle has this nipple-like top, should....is that next on the things to ban because you would have to "drink" it like a baby to consume it. Gasp!

hehe.. i just don't feel like blogging anymore. =P

maybe, some updates.. but that's just that.

about the breastfeeding photo, wow! the milk of a mother is best drink a child could get.

my mom used to tell me that when I was young, i preferred bottle feeding than breastfeeding. i dunno why. =P

I wasn't breastfeed because my mother was really sick after she had me, and I got attached to my bottles.

I almost didn't breastfeed my youngest one. It took me 5 days to get my liver/kidney to behave, and by then, I was almost sure my milk are all gone. It was really thanks to that La Leche lady who came and visit me every day at the hospital, cheering me on that I could still feed my baby.

I was so out of it, I don't even remember her name. She's really a great help.

I know I'm late, I just had to comment on this beautiful picture!
Never understood the problem either - I've always been the human equivalent of Sahara, I'm afraid,so I've had to do the bottle thing, but being offended by breastfeeding? spooky...

yay for breastfeeding.
i breastfed 2 1/2 years because i knew my daughter needed it physically, psychologically + emotionally.
i think formula + pacifiers are child abuse unless it's unavoidable (pacifiers are always avoidable)

You are very brave to post this photo. I have lots of breastfeeding pictures but keep them safe on my computer! There is no greater joy for a mother than to provide the precious milk for her babies.
