Why is it that when there's so much to do, there is not enough time to do it? When there's tons of stuff I had to do, that's when I get an infernal addiction which makes my chores very hard to accomplish.
For example, I had a lot of business tasks I must do right when I got addicted to Gilmore Girls. It's an addiction that won't quit. First, I handled it by watching only on weekends, but my local library happened to have all the six seasons in their stacks. I had to rent it. I cannot resist.
I was happily getting involved with Lorelai, and Rory, and Sookie and Luke. I got excited when Rory finally have a boyfriend, empathized when a bad boy came along and suddenly the good boy she has seems really boring. Clucked my tongue when Rory threw a good thing away, winced when that same bad boy treats her horribly.
I was horrified when Rory lost her virginity to Dean, a married guy by now. Oh. My. God. What was that? Keep in mind these are fictional character. I still think Lorelai is rude to her parents. After five seasons under my belt, I can now conclude that Lorelai treats her parents unfairly.
It's true her parents are snob, and rude to people not like them, but it still does not justify Lorelai treatment to them. Her parents always came through for her. She is way too bitchy for her parents. I rejoiced when Luke and Lorelai finally get together; shake my head in wonderment when Rory rejected another boring good guy like Marty and picked a rich playboy like Logan.
Whew. Underneath it all, I was feeling guilty that I spent so much time watching TV. I have neglected my reading. I only finished 2 books in 3 weeks! It is a very fortunate event that my children do their homework with least amount of proding because Mommy's on vacation!
Hopefully, there will be no more shows to get hook to after Gilmore Girls. I mean, are there any other show out there that's just as good? Really?

I enjoyed reading your post regarding 'The Gilmore Girls'. Thanks to ABC Family I can watch the reruns and not feel guilty about missing the current season. I'll catch them when I can.
My husband watches it with me and thinks Lorelai talks too much. And we just love Sookie.
I understand what you are feeling right now shan, i was once a tv series addict who just couldn't complete my day without missing one episode....sometimes really its not healthy at all..there's more to do in real life than sit down infront of the tv screen while the dramas get you down to your nerves you know..but then, we dont simply watch of course without getting the lesson it brings to us..and that is why we react, positively or negatively.
that's ok dear...as long as you still know your limit.
take care!
i posted a comment but it was deleted! :(
i am the same way, once i start a series and get to love it, i get so involved with the story and the lives of each of the character's! i cry and laugh and hope the show never ends.

Ev, I do know my limit...except that knowing and doing are usually not speaking to each other. LOL
Louann, I can't wait to see what your favorite shows are. I didn't like the pilot episode of Gilmore Girls, then my SIL said something to me, so I watch it again...and that was it. I'm hooked!
